Tulsa's Designer Showcase 2011

The Sister, a good friend and I recently toured the Tulsa Designer Showcase 2011. The transformed property is unique because it is not a private residence, but a small hotel.

The building was built in 1927 and became a hotel in the 1940s. My mother remembers it being the Casa Loma when she moved to Tulsa in 1950. Here is another article about the project.

If you live in the greater Tulsa area and have not visited the Designer Showcase, I would encourge you to do so next week. Their last day is May 22, 2011.

We have always recommended out of town visitors stay in our local establishments, such as The Ambassader Hotel, The Savoy or The MayoThe Campbell Hotel will now be at the top of our recommendation list for out of town visitors. (Amy: I'm looking at you!)

  1. I just love charming old buildings, especially when members of the community invest the time and effort into bringing them back to life. Thanks for letting us know about this local gem!

  2. We have just got to get by there before the thing is over. The Hubby grew up down the street from there.
